Instructions LMSA Chapter Dues 2011:
Chapter Dues are due October 31st, 2011. We are currently in the process of establishing LMSA Midwest as non-profit and create a permanent PayPal account for future dues. This year however we will be continuing paper dues. The following parameters will be used to maintain active chapter status and benefits with LMSA*:
Benefits of membership include but is not limited to:
1. Discounted registration for regional and national conferences
2. Eligibility for travel reimbursement to and from conferences
3. Voting status
4. Ability to run for regional and national positions
5. Ability to apply for various grants, scholarships, and opportunities that are available at a regional and national level.
*please note that payment of chapter dues is all-encompassing and provides membership at both the regional and national level of LMSA.
The Regional Conference which will be held on MLK weekend (January 14-15th 2012), location and time tbd!

http://lmsa.net/midwest/students/medical-students/ we will be using this list as our membership
roster.
STEP 2: Make a check payable to LMSA-Midwest using the tiered scale below. Number of members
includes board members and regional/national leaders.
Dues Paid in Full by Oct 31st, 2011:
0-5 members = $50 (waved for new chapters, or members who do not have a chapter)
5-9 members = $75
10+ members = $100
Late Dues (after Oct 31st) :
0-5 members = $75 (waved for new chapters)
5-9 members = $100
10+ members = $125

Once a year chapters will have an opportunity to update their membership lists by paying the difference due between previous and current membership and updating the VP of Networking (Lydia Mendoza) with any new members contact info.
