Dear LMSA Supporter,
I am very excited to announce the 5th Annual National Conference of the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA). LMSA, formerly National Network of Latin American Medical Students, unified this past summer by adopting the same name across its five original regional organizations. The Latino Medical Student Association is a 501©(3) non-profit national medical student organization. We were founded to represent, support, educate, and unify U.S. Latino(a) medical students.
This year’s national conference will mark the first time our organization plans and executes its own national conference under the newly unified organization. The renamed organization inspired this year’s theme, “Unified We Rise: Recognizing Diversity , Advancing the Cause”. It is through the generous support of our sponsors that we are at a point now to hold our own independent national conference. We are laying the ground work for the future. We hope you can continue to support us in our mission and that you will support this coming year’s National Conference.
We anticipate over 200 Latino(a) medical students at this year’s conference in the Windy City. We have a number of options for supporting this year’s conference activities. For the first time we will put on a residency fair for residency programs and exhibitor fair for sponsors. Advertisements will be sold in our conference program, the 4th edition of our student-to-student residency guide, and our quarterly newsletter. Finally, we are also offering packages featuring all of the above LMSA sponsorship opportunities. It is our sincere hope that we can count on your support to help us mark this momentous year and help us build on our success.
Sincerely,
Michael A. Lopez National Conference Chair Conference@nnlams.org
