Support

Donate Today: Help us strengthen the organization by bringing Latino medical students together from across the nation at our Annual National Conference.

LMSA is a 501(C)3 non-profit national medical student organization and therefore your donation maybe tax deductible. We represent Latino medical students from all across the Nation through our five regional organizations. Your contribution will help us prepare and develop our members to lead the way in addressing healthcare disparities in the clinic and Latino communities. Your contribution will also help us to continue our efforts to increase representation of minority students throughout the academic spectrum –  from high school to medical school and beyond.
As an example of some of our recent accomplishments:
  • -Annually publish a student-to-student guide to the Residency Application Process
  • -Quarterly publish a national newsletter highlighting our five regional activities and national programs
  • -Annually support a nation-wide Latino healthcare day in honor of Cesear Chavez
  • -Annually host a National Conference addressing professional development of our membership and highlighting Latino and minority healthcare disparties
  • -Annually host the Garcia Leadership & Advocacy (GLAS) Conference for our officers
  • Provide MCAT preparation scholarship for pre-medical student through Dr. Flowers MCAT
But we can’t do it without your support.

Dear LMSA Supporter,

I am very excited to announce the 5th Annual National Conference of the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA).  LMSA, formerly National Network of Latin American Medical Students, unified this past summer by adopting the same name across its five original regional organizations. The Latino Medical Student Association is a 501©(3) non-profit national medical student organization. We were founded to represent, support, educate, and unify U.S. Latino(a) medical students.

This year’s national conference will mark the first time our organization plans and executes its own national conference under the newly unified organization. The renamed organization inspired this year’s theme, “Unified We Rise: Recognizing Diversity , Advancing the Cause”. It is through the generous support of our sponsors that we are at a point now to hold our own independent national conference. We are laying the ground work for the future. We hope you can continue to support us in our mission and that you will support this coming year’s National Conference.

We anticipate over 200 Latino(a) medical students at this year’s conference in the Windy City. We have a number of options for supporting this year’s conference activities.  For the first time we will put on a residency fair for residency programs and exhibitor fair for sponsors. Advertisements will be sold in our conference program, the 4th edition of our student-to-student residency guide, and our quarterly newsletter. Finally, we are also offering packages featuring all of the above LMSA sponsorship opportunities. It is our sincere hope that we can count on your support to help us mark this momentous year and help us build on our success.

Sincerely,

Michael A. Lopez
