We are excited to announce a very exciting partnership with Alta Med!
LMSA West was awarded with the, “Next Generation of Healthcare Professionals” grant, a 5-year, $300,000 ($60,000/year) partnership. The effort was lead by Edgar Corona (VP of Community Affairs), Bert Pineda and Jorge Torres (West Co-Directors).
This will allow us to expand our programs in 6 main areas: Mini-grants, Mentorship, Scholarships, Policy, Research and Leadership Development

The LMSA West UC Riverside Chapter wanted to share with everyone their recent get together held in late October.
“The Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) at UCR SOM hosted a wonderful physician panel and Cena. Topics discussed ranged from social oppression, racism, handling microaggressions, balancing life and familia, and the future of the Latino community in medicine.
What an amazing group of individuals. We have such a fabulous team and network.”
