Conference 2014 Updates

The Latino Medical Student Association is proud to invite you to our LMSA National Conference in Houston Texas, April 25th-27th, 2014 hosted at Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in the heart of the Texas Medical Center in Houston Texas.

This is the first time ever that the National Conference will be hosted in Texas and it will not be back for at least another 5 years! The Latino Medical Student Association is an all volunteer run organization dedicated to developing the next generation of Latino health care professionals, and fostering relationships with community leaders sympathetic to the medical needs of traditionally underserved and underrepresented populations, particularly the rapidly growing Latino population. Today, LMSA currently has over 2500 medical students, 7000 pre-medical student members, and 5000 physician alumni in our network.

The National Conference this year will include: Workshops, Keynote Speakers from around the Country, an Exhibition Fair (with Medical Schools and Residency Programs), a Research Symposium, Networking Opportunities and a Formal-Attire Gala at the Hilton at the Texas Medical Center. There are a wide range of workshops including a suture and laparoscopic surgical skills lab, Quality Improvement in practice and in research, Health Care Policy, and myriad panels of students discussing various stages of medical education.
